Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Relax and prepare for the exciting adventure ahead. Enjoy a welcome dinner and meet your guide who will provide a briefing on the journey.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
Begin your safari with a drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and baobab trees. Spend the day on a game drive, spotting diverse wildlife including lions, zebras, and giraffes. Overnight at a luxury lodge within the park.
Day 3: Tarangire to Ngorongoro
Depart Tarangire and head towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive at your lodge perched on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walk around the lodge, learning about the local flora and fauna.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for a full-day game drive. Witness the dense concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five. Enjoy a picnic lunch by a hippo pool and continue exploring until late afternoon. Return to your lodge for dinner.
Day 5: Ngorongoro to Serengeti
Travel to the Serengeti, Tanzania’s most famous park. Along the way, visit a Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditions. Arrive at your tented camp in the Serengeti and unwind with a sundowner while watching the stunning sunset.
Day 6: Serengeti National Park
Spend the day exploring the vast plains of the Serengeti. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, seeking out lions, cheetahs, and the Great Migration herds (seasonal). Have lunch at the camp and relax before your evening drive. Overnight in the heart of the Serengeti.
Day 7: Serengeti to Arusha and Departure
After breakfast, take a final morning game drive in the Serengeti before transferring to the Seronera airstrip for your flight back to Arusha. Upon arrival in Arusha, enjoy a farewell lunch. Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight home, taking with you unforgettable memories of your family safari adventure.
