Experience the thrill of Tanzania's wilderness on our 8-day Machame Route trekking adventure. Your journey begins with an arrival day at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you'll be warmly welcomed and transferred to your accommodation for a well-deserved rest before the expedition begins.
Day By Day Details
Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you'll be greeted by our friendly team and escorted to your accommodation. Take this opportunity to relax and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Machame Gate to Machame Camp
Embark on your trekking adventure as you head from Machame Gate to Machame Camp. Pass through lush rainforests and marvel at the diverse flora and fauna along the way.
Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira Camp
Ascend to Shira Camp, traversing through stunning landscapes and gaining breathtaking views of the surrounding scenery. Keep an eye out for native wildlife as you make your way to the campsite.
Day 4: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp
Challenge yourself with a trek to Barranco Camp, crossing the picturesque Shira Plateau and navigating through the rugged terrain of the Barranco Wall.
Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
Continue your ascent towards the summit as you journey from Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp. Marvel at the changing landscapes and immerse yourself in the beauty of the natural surroundings.
Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
Prepare for the final push to the summit as you trek from Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp. Take in the awe-inspiring views and mentally prepare for the challenging summit night ahead.
Day 7: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp
Rise early for the exhilarating summit attempt, reaching Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Celebrate your achievement before descending to Mweka Camp for a well-deserved rest.
Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate
Bid farewell to the majestic slopes of Kilimanjaro as you descend from Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate. Receive your summit certificates and reflect on the incredible journey you've undertaken.
